I just got a DX7 and I am dying to start playing around with it.

Only problem is that every time I press a button on it, it makes a really loud bip which are driving me and everyone around me crazy

I have been browsing the printed manual as well as searching the digital one, without luck.

Anyone knows how to disable this ?

Thanks ...

I personally e-mailed Spektrum on this and their reply was there is no setting. I read someplace that some people opened up the case and put tape over the speaker to deaden the sound. I can't remember if I read that here or on RCGroups though.

This was what I was told on rcgroups as well, guess I will just have to figure out where to put that tape.

SB also has a nice sticky at the top to show how to take it apart.

I use the countdown timer on my DX-7 to time my flights. If you disable the speaker in some fashion you won't be able to hear the beeps from the timer. Just something to think about.
