Well I'm going to get a Carbsmart next month, and I was begrudging the purchase of thermal epoxy. Anyway, I came across an article a while ago, about making your own thermal epoxy. It looks like it should work.

I did something similar to stick a heat sink on my esc and it works really nice. Never had heating problem after this.
