BRILLIANT! I honestly thought he was going to try to loop the thing the way he was throwing it around! Very nice to see someone building a tandem and actually being willing to do more than just hover it...

Wow, That is pretty cool, but my only question( I only ask because I really do not know) is why does he need two gyros?

I assume it requires a simillar setup as v-bar, I'm sure without gyros that heli would be bouncing all over the place.

Well I understand why you would need one, but why would you need two?

The two gyros are used in his tandem controller. It's what mixes the front and rear rotor heads to give you the correct pitch, yaw, and roll controls. You would need a gyro on each axis (yaw and pitch) for the tandem controller to properly mix the rotor heads. When you run a tandem setup like this you don't need to compensate for rotor torque and don't require a tail gyro.

It's amazing he is powering two 500mm rotors with a single Z30 motor.

Thank's for all that info. That was the answer I was looking for, I am just not in touch with my "Tandem" side, and needed some one to break it down for me.

Thanks for the info - I was also wondering why 2 gyros.

and getting those flight times.
