Becky and I are looking to take the business out west next summer. We are looking for information on events held from late May 2008 until September 2008. Any information would be appreciated.

But you have such a great following on this side of the US...why would you abandon us...we'd hate to see you go.;)

Mike, We find it necessary to expand out west because most of the events we do on the east coast are fun and we really meet great people, but do not do enough volume to make the business profitable. We keep our prices low; therefore we need volume to cover costs. We also think it would be fun to see the west coast of this great country before gas becomes extinct.

I think the big happening in the bay area is "Circumgyration". This is on the east side of the S.F. Bay. Full scale and R/C helis. Don't recall when, but Google probably knows.

Buzzing the border in Chula Vista (San Diego) in September is for sure something NOT to miss in 2008.

Get a motorcycle. 45-50 mpg plus. Did a 3500 mile trip out west back in May. Less than $300 for gas and that was using preminum.

Yup, but it's hard to get many helis on the bike. I've got a buddy that drives a Honda Insight. He gets something like 55 mpg on the highway while driving way too fast.

That is why they make trailers to pull behind bikes. I was at heli event a few years ago. Couple of the attendees rode to the event on motorcycles with trailers behind them. They each had two helis and all the support equipment. Even had a case of fuel each.

Bob,

Here is an event that is held just out side Dallas TX. that I believe gets 100+ pilots.
