Hi Guy's,

Winter is comming here in Europe. I was wondering how I could strore my LiPo's best.

I heard I had to discharge/charge them to 50% (3.8 - 3,85 V/cell). Is this true?

It's possible I don't use the batteries for a couple of months. Do I have to discharge/charge them once in a while.

What's the best environment to store them.

Thanks, Sander

I've heard that it's discharge to 3.8-3.9V/cell, and store them somewhere cool (not cold). Check occasionally and re-charge to keep it in that range. I've even heard some stick them in the refrigerator, but my basement is my plan.

Lipos have a very low self discharge rate. So over the winter should be fine, that's why the 50% chargelevel, not too low, not too high.
