I've got a CSM revlock 10 on my avant fx w/ YS91SR and hatori pipe. I've got it set so mode A = off and mode B = 1850 (14,948) in normal mode and 1950 (15,756) in idle up 1 and 2.
while in normal mode the governor works fine (or my throttle curve is just really good lol) and holds the headspeed like it should, but as soon as i put it into idle up 1 or 2 it overshoots the rpm dramatically and never recovers. I can turn the governor off and back on while still in idle up and nothing happens.
here's my setup:
Avant FX w/ 8.08 gear ratio
DX7 w/ ar7000 rx
2 cell lipo thru regulator
YS91SR w/ hatori pipe
Futaba 9252 dig. servo on throttle
The sensor test works fine everytime
In mode A (governor off) the arm LED comes on slightly above 1/4 throttle.
In mode B for Idle up the same happens and the 14k+ range LED is lit. Above 1/2 stick the offset leds Light (last 3 leds on) showing the LED setting for a RPM of 15,750 rpm.
Travel Adjust for aux 2 (governor) is
+100% (off)
-51% (on, approx. 1950 rpm)
To bring the normal RPM down to 1850 i have a mix that changes the offset leds to a 15,000 rpm (2nd led on only)
that mix screen looks as follows:
aux2 -> aux 2 ON (w/ switch in normal position)
Rate: 0% (aux 2 switch up) governor is off
-33% (aux 2 switch down) (changes offset leds to show 15,000)
SW: F-NR
OFFSET: 0
With it setup like this the governor works great in normal, but once i put it into idle 1 or 2 it goes crazy and lets the headspeed shoot over 2000 rpm every time. it never tries to correct itself. I've currently got the sensitivity adjust all the way to max and dont get any burble in normal. And changing it from one extrememe and anywhere in between in the idle up modes doesn't change anything.
I have completely deleted and re programmed the governor over 4 times and every time it does the exact same thing. i've tried different RPM values to see if it was rpm specific, but its not...
I'm completely stumped about this and really prefer NOT having to buy a new governor.
