Hey guys,

After a late night session of "teach yourself channel to same channel mixing" on the DX7 last night, I got my governor dialed in and ready to go. I got the CY ATG and the install went pretty smoothly.

I just wanted to clarify that the 2000RPM range is safe on the 50 Titan w/ stock plastic head and not too hard on the motor. It just sounded crazy fast - I have heard it get that fast in idle up on my own V curve around mid stick, but considered it to be "racing" when I heard that.

From what I've been told, "sagging" the motor is what's really hard on it, but man, it just sounds like I'm really ringing the piss outta this thing.

The hyper runs best @ 17k which on the Raptor 50 is 2000 rpm on the head.

The plastic head block you should keep an eye on, it will eventually get sloppy running at that speed and wallow out the jesus bolt holes or start to get loose on the shaft where it pivots on the jesus bolt and you can rock it back and forth, when it starts getting sloppy replace it with a metal one.

Thanks, Andy. If the sweet spot is that high, then I certainly was sagging it a bit before. Hopefully it'll run a little cooler if I keep the head in that range while tossing it about.

When you replace the plastic with metal, check out the maverick head at heliproz. It comes with almost everything above the swash for I think $185. I have it on both my raptors and love it. If you want, check out the review in RCHeli magazine either this months issue or last month
