Hi All

Anyone flying one? Comments?

Are there any known problems? If so what are the fixes?

What metal upgrade parts should be considered?

Any problems with the standard ESC and motor?

Cheers

I have the freestyle belt mod on my CP Pro, and now it flies pretty nice. It's not quite the heli that my TRex is, but it's definitely a fun little, controlable heli now.

I started off with the stock CP Pro and immediately added the G90 Gyro. It never flew quite right. I found this forum and found some other info about the heli. I had an old JR radio, so I yanked the 3 in 1 and setup the heli to use my "real" radio. I went brushless, and went with the direct drive tail. It flew pretty good that way, too. The problem was that the tail motor gave up the ghost maybe 20 flights later. I was lucky. I was hover-taxing it back to the garage and it was less than a foot in the air when the tail motor burned out. It started spinning, and I just went to throttle-hold--no harm done.

I decided to go to the belt-driven tail. It still wasn't a great flier, but better. I ditched the G90 and put in a 401 I had from my old Nitro Raptor, and now it's a nice little heli. It's not worth all the money, though. I like it because it's small and slower than the TRex (good for flying out in front of the house on our dead-end street). The TRex is a faster and needs a little bigger area (in my hands, anyway).

I fly the CP Pro more than the TRex, but that's just because it works good out in front of the house. If I knew then what I know now, I'd ditch the CP Pro and go with the Honey Bee King II. I'm guessing my CP Pro flies as good as a HBK2, but I spent way too much money to get it there. The CP Pro is cheap initially, but in my case, I threw out just about everything but the frame, head, and servos.
