As I was lifting off, my 335 pro blades exited the aircraft horizontally. The cause: no Loctite on the feathering shaft screws. One of the blades shot into the garage and blew through a sheet of 5/8" drywall. Don't make this bonehead mistake!:arggg:

I know that feeling, except mine was 550mm blades without locktite in one of the screws in the shaft. I had just landed the thing and the force of impact with the ground must have done it.

Well the first thing you must relize is that even tho these little birds of ours are small toyz in the RC world of aviation .They are still Dangerous.Fast and even can kill. The centrifigul forces at the tips of your rotors are very high, and when parts start flying off the are hauling butt .And you better hope they don.t hit any one.or you are at fault
First of all you are the Pilot so you need to have the same kind of considerations about safty and flight as real full scale pilots do.Second of all NO AIRCRAFT Be it RC or full scale is intended to contact the ground with any thing but skids or wheels on landing gear.
Our little birds are delicate flying devices that are affected by poor maintnece
Poor judgment and the elements of wind.
Always use caution, always do a full Pre Flight .not half ass'ed but a full Pre flight check before EVERY Flight. What was tight and functioning properly on your last flight may not always be so for your next flight .Bro here is lucky that the rotor did not hit him or some one else.:thinking:arggg: Apply wise Intelligent choice making and never fly close to people or spectators. The life you save may be your own. I would not ***** to bad if I hurt my self ,But I would never forgive my self for hurting some one else out of making a bad flight choice. Listen to your inner voice and pay attention and be aware of every thing around you and your aircraft ALWAYS ..
