I am looking to try 8s A123 cells, so I will need a esc capable of 50+ AMPS and good for at least 7s lipo?
I don't want to spend $200 on a esc, any recomendations? or has any one tried 8s A123 packs on a esc rated for 6s lipo? it looks like a 6s lipo and a 7s A123 pack show the same volts of about 25.2, but as soon as you put any load on the A123 pack it drops about 1.5v where the std lipo holds the voltage better. my A123 packs fly well but have a noticably lower head speed. I believe that by going with 1 more cell, head speed will be back where I need it.
