CSM SL420e Mode0/Mode1

Hi, how do i know if my switch for mode 0 and mode 1 is working? I have a Futaba 6EX tx but when i switch the gyro switch the gyro seems to act the same, i have not flown the heli yet so dont know if it is different in the air. To be honest I dont even know what the difference between the two modes is?

OK ive worked this out now. Mode 0 is set by having a positive amount of gain and Mode 1 is set by having a negative. Therefore a gain of -75% (Mode 1) is still higher gain than a setting of -70%.
