Hi Guys
Well i took the plunge. Love my Trex 450 but i need to try nitro. Just bought a second hand Knight 50 sport (used for hovered and setup only). Comes with clutch, muffler and 600mm woodies. (no engine or electronics) for £99. I thought this would be a good entry level machine to try my hand at. I've read some good reviews in rotor world mag on this bird. I'm still only at the hovering level but my sim work is comming along...just need to get some real circuits under my belt.

Anyway I need some advise on additional components. I have a spare telebee Gyro (401 is on the trex) that i wish to use, but im not sure what quick servo would be a good match. Am i correct in saying that the telebee will not support a digital servo? This thought is limiting my choice. Any advise here guys?

what reciever battery do i need?. Do i need a battery/switch and regulator? this is a neew combo to understand, Im assuming the regulator drops the battery volatge down to 6V when using say a 12V pack? Is this what the Align 2 in 1 achieves? Any recommendations here?

Regards
Martin

For the reciever pack a 4 cell Ni-CAD will be good enough. I run 2400mAH pack's in my Nitros

If you want to go with the Li-Po route you will need a Regulator and depending on the output and your servos a stepdown to get from 6V to 5V

i'm not sure on how long they will last but you can always add a voltage meter to it. They cost like $10 through Tower Hobies.
