I have a buddy who sold me his Phoenix sim software disks, but thats all he had. No cables or connection boxes. I have a DX7 and have ordered a set of cables HERE (http://cgi.ebay.ca/Transmitter-Flight-Simulator-Helicopter-FMS-USB-Cable_W0QQitemZ140174112092QQihZ004QQcategoryZ1100 26QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem).

Will this cable work if I directly connect it from my DX7 into the USB port on my computer, or is there some other interface box that comes with the Phoenix sim package that you have to plug your tx into, and then plug the interface box into the computer?

The Phoenix sim requires their proprietary interface cable, which also works as a copy-protection dongle.

Do you know if that is available for purchase separately or any place that sells it?

You'd have to contact the company, which would probably require you to purchase the whole package. If you don't have the dongle, it's essentially a pirated copy anyway. Now, if you had a dead dongle, you could probably get a replacement cheap or maybe even free.

No interface cable? Then you're pretty much screwed, or should I say ripped off? Go get your money back.

The DX7 hooks up directly to the interface cable with a JR buddy connector.

You could send an email to support@phoenix-sim.com

The disks are useless without the interface and you can't buy it on its own. There are pirate copies of Phoenix going around for download from the net, so I doubt they would make it easy to get the interface on its own without knowing you aren't running a pirate copy. I expect they would replace a broken one cheaply but as for outright supply....

Are you sure your buddy didnt keep the interface to use himself? Ask for it or your money back
