I am seriously looking at the extreme 50 but am interested in seeing how hard the alloy is in the head? How do the blade grips etc stand up in a crash ? Does anyone know if the alloy used is as strong as the trex 600n alloy? This heli looks incredible, almost too good to be true, but this is the one point i know nothing about. The last thing i want is to bend head components, when with plastic they just break and you know what the problem is.
thanx for any input

I have unfortunately had a couple of stacks with mine and so far the only head parts that are soft (in my opinion) are the blade grip links, from what i hear they were designed that way as a fuse in the system.

They are relatively cheap to replace as they unbolt from the grips easily

if there was an issue with any of the alloy it has been resolved, we have had great flights with ours. over 80 flights and still going.

In my opinion its look solf aluminium and Center hub not fit and loose with Main shaft cause to have some play in Center hub,so i worry a first crash my center hub will gone. But i 'm not worry i will change to new dasign KASAMA head soon, it very nice design and hard Aluminium.

So are kasama making aftermarket products for the extreme 50?

No,KASAMA doesn't make aftermarket products for the extreme 50

But KASAMA will release new rotor head for prototype SRIMOK helicoptor, and this new rotor head is compatible with all 10 mm main shaft, such as TREX600N,EXTREAM50 or RAPTOR50.

I bought Extream50 around 1 moth ago the reason is i like the design of Rotor head that the same with AVANT and the frame is lower CG.

RJX is releasing a new Head for the Xtreme50. From my understanding, it should be out within a months.
You can see the new head here:

The new 8mm head spindle upgrade is already out, check with your local distributor, or have them order it from RJX Hobby outside the USA

ill agree with foxden the new head is out i have it on mine. the old style is more curved where the seesaw pivot is and the new one is more square/stronger. from what i gather in extreme pitch pumping ie tic tocs with loads of pitch 15degrees or so the head "could" separate at the seesaw bearing. never seen it or heard of it but apparently thats the reason.
