Hey ladies,

I thought I would keep y'all posted on a couple of new builds I'm working on this winter. The first is obviously a heli, but the other is my gas airplane.

For the heli, I've sold my Raptor 50SE to a good friend who is going to put an engine and radio in it for his wife. She has been flying a .30-sized Hawk I believe and is hovering right now. Atleast I know my heli went to a great new home...from one Whirly Girl to another.

To replace it, my husband ordered me a T-Rex 600 Nitro Pro. I'm using my O.S. Hyper 50 from the Raptor, but I will be trying out the new Align high performance muffler this time around. Another change is that my husband and I recently sold off all of our PCM receivers and we're switching to 2.4. So, out with the XP9303 and in with the X9303! I'm going to use an AR7000 receiver as I'll need enough channels for the gyro and my Throtle Jockey Pro governor. Oh, and one more change is that I'm swapping out my Duralite 5.1V regulator for an Align 2-in-1 with a step down to my 9254 servo. So, now I'll be running 5.8V to all servos except the tail and I'll be able to go out and start without a separate glow ignitor. I think that's cool!

Now, for the gasser...it's been a long 2 year wait, but I'll finally be building my 33% Ultimate Biplane!!! My husband sold off another plane and motor and is giving me the like-new electronics out of it to install in the bipe. I'm still saving up for the powerplant, which I've decided is going to be a DA-100. I'll be running all DS8611 servos, an AR9000 receiver and a Smart-Fly power distribution system. This is going to be one sweet bird. I'm chucking the stock aluminum main gear which weigh 1 pound, 4 ounces for a CF set that weighs something like 8 oz total! I'll also be changing wing and stab tubes as needed to lighten and arrange the CG. I'm setting it up for 3D only as we have a 40% monoplane to compete in IMAC with. I'll post pictures when we get some more work done on it.

That's it for me this winter. What is everyone else building???

We have been just peachy-- All is well here. We have just been busy and took a little break. We are still here and plan on more flying. I will let kjfly know to say hi to you all. I am selling off only one heli and getting a Baja5B to play with in the back yard. By the way-- this was Her idea too.. but we will still have a few birds to fly.. See ya all later....
