Hi all.

I don't want to start a flame war here, I just need some advice.
I am looking at buying a heli and I have narrowed it down to these two helis that fit into my (tight) budget.
Can someone please give me some opinions on these two helis? I now that parts availability is always a good deciding factor, but for me, parts for both are reasonably accessible.
From what I have read so far:

Mini Titan - problems with tracking: sorted out with metal upgrades, stock ESC runs hot: sorted out with another ESC or adding a BEC. Apart from that I have heard that this is a good heli.
HDX 450 V3 - (metal) parts not always of a good quality, often parts missing from kits

I am swayed towards the Mini Titan (being a ThunderTiger and all), but the HDX does come with all the bling and upgrades. I want a heli that is going to fly well. I am still learning to hover, so no 3D or anything just yet, but I want to get there one day.

I really can't afford to waste money on a "bum" heli, so I need to buy something that is not going to just sit on the shelf and collect dust..

Any input and advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Why not Trex? Well supported in parts and knowledge base.

I would stay away from the HDX from everything I have heard.

My HDX 450 Build went without a hitch. All parts came in the box. That metal head and carbon frame has survived a few violent encounters with concrete. Tail/head have run reliably for me. Get it up to speed and it hovers like a dream and most parts are interchangeable with T-Rex. But also there's something to be said about having a stock T-Rex and a well stocked LHS.

The mini Titan looks like a Walkera to me, I was not at all impressed with it, my HDX flew circles around the ones I have seen.

I have a HDX500, HDX450. Mini Titan, started on a Walkera 36
You are just so wrong!!!
Mind you , the 36 flew quite well ( a bit small) with a JR rx and tx ! Just dump the Walkera electronics

I own hdx450se v3 and mini titan with all metal TT head.

Well the hdx is a little bit faster on cyclic but MT is a lot more stable in flight and can do all. The MT is more easy to work on and it is a nice build.

For the rest they are equivalent.

In my opinion i give this vote: MT 9.5 HDX/Trex450 9.0

Out of the box MT (all plastic) 9.0 as trexSE

But if you compare MT to Trex450S then MT is a big step ahead of trex no doubt. Look also to the price.
