Hi Finless

I have been watching your build up video on for the H550...... I must admit, I fall in love with this Heli .... and as you understand I bough the hole kithttp://www.helifreak.com/images/smilies/nodding%20grin.gif(Heli, batteries, TX starting from scratch).

I have been following your videos for building it (By the way I would really like to thank you for this... it was great:thumbup:) and it was straight forward for me to build it. (Apart from a small mistake that end up in burning the ESC:bawl but that ok as I ve learn a lot)

Now I have reach the stage were everything is ready for flying my new love but I m having problems :arggg: with the setup of my TX (DX7).

So I was wondering if you can advice me on the TX setting (pitch, gyro, throttle curves etc).

Can you please help me

Thanks:noteworthy

OK a couple of things to help.
I can share my settings but realize every heli is different!

First watch Jermo's DX7 setup video
http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=28681

Pitch and throttle curves 101 and if needed CCPM setup #1 and #2 found here:
http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=11373

Also my 401 setup video:
http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless/trex450&filename=gyro_setup.wmv
My 401 video for the hurri
http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless/hurricane550&filename=tailsetup.wmv

Ok here are my DX7 settings... I HATE doing this and if your setup doesnt match perfectly it could make your heli fly like crap, crash, or even hurt someone so you REALLY need to set it up yourself and get it right!!!!

Servo reversing:
all channels at normal with channel 2 reversed

Sub trims:
sorry you gotta set these right as every servo is different

Travel adjust:
All channel 100% except rudder which is 120% and 120%

Swash mix:
Aile -60%
Elev -60%
pitch -65%

Throttle curve normal
0, 55, 80, 80, 100

Throttle idel up 1
100,98,95,98,100

Idle up 2
100% flat

pitch curves all linear
0,25,50,75,100

Gyro gain 78%

Ok I appriaciate your help and I understand that it not going to be straight forward like following someone else setup, to get it correct... more like a trial and error approach every heli is different.

I have been through the videos and obviously I need to go over them again which i will. I was more looking for a rule of thumb how to do the setup or more like "engineering guidelines" what is the target I m aming for etc.

Anyway I would like thank you all "freaks" as reading this forum got me in the sport in the first place.

Looking forward for you advice :noteworthy
