Well after dozens of flights my pinion serparated today as well. Chewed up the gear into the well known friction drive which makes it a breeze to bring the heli down from anywhere. It seems these isolated cases are continuing and whats everyone done to fix there's. Just pull them apart and use some high strength loctite and mash'em back together? Has anyone actually tig'ed them or was that a furby? My counterbearing should turn up tommorrow so it looks like loctite and addittional support from the bearing!

Maybe's an Aussie thing - antigravity or something - I wouldn't trust Loctite or Araldite to keep the halves together - didn't work for me - suggest a new pinion. I haven't had any more probs yet since I fitted the counterbearing.

I have been running my pinions stock, no tig mod yet. So far so good on the motors I have used, the 19t has been fine on the modest power setup with no counter bearing on the 24-4.
