Hi Freaks-
Collective Designs is happy to announce that the T-Rex 450SEV2 model is now available on the Knife Edge Swap Pages. The EA is the Performance version, and there is also an AV for a tamer, gentler flier dubbed the Stock Variant. More info here... (http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=125)

Great model! Reading the comments, there was help from Finless, Benny and Justin Chi. Of course, thanks Collective Designs for a great working model.

I love this heli! Very similar to my own...

I adjusted the tail speed a little bit up.

Damn, this 450SEV2 on 3.5 spoils me, its so responsive. When I flew my 450SE after, it felt so sluggish. Damn, now I have to upgrade my V1 head to a V2 head and upgrade my 430L to a 430XL motor. Oh, and upgrade my woodies to carbon blades and upgrade my paddles to carbons.

Hopefully, this will make my heli way more responsive.

speed808, try the Stock Variant of the 450SEV2 (http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=3418). I am one of the developers of this model, and we designed the Stock Variant to behave more like a stock V2. It may be closer to your real life helicopter. Also, have you tried flying on low dual rates?

I downloaded this last night.

Top-notch job. This model is awesome! There really wasn't a "great" 450-size electric for Realflight, now there is. The designs of these custom aircraft are better than anything Knifeedge offers with the software.

After downloading where do insert the file? It should work with g3.5 right?

Doesn't matter where the file is, because you can dispose of it after import.

Open up RealFlight, go to the Simulation menu and select Import... and then G3X. Choose/locate the file and press OK. Then, go to your Custom Aircraft folder and select the helicopter.

Sorry I dont have the ability to do that. Or maybe you misunderstood what I said.
I figured out how to import the g3x files to the sim. Before I saw the import button I was putting the file into the folder through the program folders. I didnt think it would be that simple.

Its great! It brought the life back into the sim. I gotta admit the toyota I downloaded is a blast. Can you believe that fling the trex in the sim makes me want to go out and get one. Thanks to you guys.

I don't know what happened. I selected G3x from the import menu and imported the T-Rex 450SEV2 file which I downloaded and save. Howeve in the Aircraft-aircraft select menu there is no T-Rex 450 or anything that looks like it. I have the G4 version. Can somebody help please.

Thks.

I did the same thing to import Blue Thunder from the Edgeknife link you posted. The same problem occured, no aircraft name Blue Thunder or anything that looks likes it to be found in the aircraft select menu after I have imported it. I have imported other aircraft before in version G3.5 not G4 yet, I think there is something else wrong.

If you have just bought G4 and tried to install on a laptop, you are likely to encounter this error when you launch G4 "error creating effectShadowreceiveWater". This is due to the weak graphics handling ability of the laptop, particularly non-dedicated graphics adapter in your laptop. You need to call for tech support, they will supply you a code to download a fix to your problem. First you need to register the software before calling. Hope this helps. Another problem is that if you update to the new version from tech support, it will not import aircrafts properly. There are quite a few versions out there due to this problem.

When you first turn on G4, look at the first screen. You will see a tab that says "additional options". Click on that and register and you will get a update that will correct it.

Download and install the available update.
Turn off G4 and restart.
Now import the models again.

Note: When importing, be sure to use the third option for gtx files. Also you will only be able to import files from G3 and G3.5. Earlier versions will not work with G4.

Will work now.

This is a GREAT model for RF.... It has improved my muscle memory for the TREX a bunch....

But I am getting a slight list with these variants. at a hover, the rotor is about 3 degrees starboard low. The only adjustment I have made is the flybar weight. Anybody have ideas?

This is normal for clockwise rotation main rotor helicopters. I believe there is a thread on this in the T-Rex 450 sub-forum. Have a look!
