Just wanted to give you guys the heads up that I will be hosting some online flying a few nights a week this winter. I did this way back when G2 first came out and it worked nice. I met a bunch of guys and actually learned a lot from them. I hosted last night and had 6 or 7 guys come in to fly and shoot the crap. I know the Phoenix online flying still has some bugs and hopefully they will get it to fly smoother than it is now. Stop in just to say hi or to show off your flying skills.
NY Heli FunFly will be the host name.

Just wondering if anyone is having any luck connecting? I have a server up and I can't even get in :(

I saw your session. Like you said, I could not connect.
I run the two EverUp sessions. I can tell you from experience, the online hosting feature of Phoenix is in early beta. Having studied it with a number of network diagnostic tools, I remain convinced the problem is mainly with the PhoenixNet master server.
When I connect to my own sessions, my traffic goes through my firewall only. That is, it does not have to traverse even my Internet connection. Yet, very often, I can't connect even to my own sessions. When the connection fails, my packet sniffer can see traffic flowing between my stand-alone server session and the PhoenixNet server. However, I don't see any traffic between my Phoenix Sim session and the server.
When I can connect, there is traffic between the server, PhoenixNet and my Phoenix Sim session.
It will take some work but, I can try to post some sniffer logs, if anyone is interested.
Anyway, good luck with your hosting parties. It is really fun to fly with other pilots. It can be frustrating when you see other pilots connected but, you can't connect.
