View Full Version : Bind time less with Futaba?

I experienced another low voltage cut out yesterday and am thinking of making the jump from the DX7 to a Futaba radio, but it would be pointless if Futaba's suffer from the same issue. Does anyone know if the bind/rebind time is the same for these two radios, or is one significantly better? Are Futaba RX's prone to the same voltage problems as the Spektrums?
Thanks for the help!

Why not take care of the underlying low voltage problem instead?
Or at least get the capacitor "fix".

Forgot to mention my model memory is full, so I'll be needing a new radio eventually. The DX7 has been ok but aside from the low voltage BS on occasion it won't link before the gyro initializes, which means pulling the plugs and starting over. Not a big deal really, but if the Futabas don't suffer the same problems I'd rather go that route.
Besides, there's something about spending the day tearing 20 models apart to solder a lousy 90 cent capacitor on that chaps my hide.

I havent tested futaba, but something tells me that all "digital" versions take longer then its old analog counter-part.
Send JKos a PM and see if he knows, he has playing around with most of them to measure latency, he might have exakt numbers.

Thanks MrMel!
