Hey guys, someone put me out of my misery.

I went and got a T-Rex450 for my first heli. Bit of a learning curve I think but I think I've learnt more than getting one out of the box :)

One thing that has me worried is when I was merrily soldering my connectors to my motor I ended up flattening the wires. I had the wires in a vice (rubber grip) and I guess the combination of the heat and the pressure flattened them.

I should have checked the result from the first one instead of doing the lot in one fell swoop! It didn't happen with the other wires, just the motor ones for some reason.

Is this going to cause me any problems or is it harmless?

Thanks
Mark

It's harmless. Just keep going. Good luck.

Hi Mark,

Yes it’s no problem. You might look for a device called a helping hands, I got one at Radio Shack it helps you hold the wires wile you solder them, very helpful :glasses:

Thanks all. Sigh of relief!

Actually I've already got a helping hands (I assume it's the same) but I don't use it any more because the magnifying glass broke. Think I'll be using to hold wires from now on though.
