View Full Version : how heavy of a 6s pack?

is a 6s pack that weighs 652g and 4350mah to heavy for the hurricane? i know my cg maybe hard to get right and i will have to work on getting the canopy to fit but just wanted to know if the pack is to heavy to do 3d with?

Not sure how you're going to fit it in there but it is not "too heavy".

i checked and measured the size to the specs on-line and it will be very tight but i think it will fit. just want to make sure by using this pack that i wont loose any of the flight characteristics.

A heavier pack means a heavier heli, which means it will not fly as well since it needs more power to do everything.

You will probably have a balance problem with the short boom. You may need the long boom and mount the tail servo on the boom. Flying Hobby has "CNC Tail Servo Boom Mounts" which look like the boom support block with a CNC arm screwed to it. The Hirobo Shuttle/Sceadu tail servo mounts should also work. They use a 21mm boom like the Hurricane does.
