Say if you have one battery 6s or 10s then you mabye fly for 6-8min and then the battery must cool down for about 20min befor charcing witch take about an hour? if you have two batteries you always have a cool battery you can charge, but you still have to vait 50min betveen every flight, and I dont have money to buy 4-5 6s or 10s packs.with my nitro I just land and fill her up. I like the thought about electric flight its just that when I first drive out to fly I want to fly alot and i dont want to fly both its either way.how do you manage to get any time in the air?
Bring a 450 with 4-5 lipos for it ?

buy a 4 port electrifly charger that charges 4 batt's at the same time. 8 batteries total and it only takes you 2 hrs to charge.

4 port charger? He was talking about the cost of batteries, and your suggesting he get a heli with 8 of them? LOL
Anyhow, as was mentioned, you could fly a 450 with 3S batteries. As for the cost of batteries, if you add up how much money you spend on nitro fuel in a year, many people buy a 10S battery worth of fuel every summer.
Myself, I like small electrics and large nitros. :)

The only way to fly alot electric is to invest in batteries. I have 4 for my t-rex 450 and 4 for my t-rex 600. But I figure after about 18 months I will be flying for free.

Its only free after 18 months if you dont damage a pack from either over discharging or crash damage!!
But yes i get your point Electric flight is a bigger up front investment than Nitro

Yep, or get three of those packs that dies after 50 cycles.
The fuel up front things gets a little fuzzy when you start cooking your batteries.

I kinda excepted that flying electric has its risk of being expensive.
Although i like the smell of fresh burned Nitro..., coming from flying planks on Nitro and gas with all the uncomfortable things like noise, leaking, cleaning, and a (smelly)trunk filled with stuff to start the engines (when they start ;) ).., It's not that hard to except.
Love to go fly with just one shoulderbag and a clean Heli and make 5x 7 minutes flights.
Fly, make some fun and have a talk and fly again.
I'm saving for a 500 or 600 class heli to complete the fun next season.
Guess I'll buy two quality Lipos for it, and your right that's a serious investment, but IMHO worth it.
Wipe the bugs of the blades when I'm done and it's ready for another morning or afternoon session :)
