I finally made it to the flying field today, after several hovering sessions at home under the big Oak tree. First of all the Neu 1912H/1Y makes plenty of power. I am getting 2300 head speed gov mode on a CC HV85 at 70% and a 14 tooth pinion with SAB 620s. First full power climb out stripped the main gear. The issue was the HV85 was set to high throttle response. Medium response works well.

The heli is awsome, smooth , quiet, and very powerful! Autos good, a little wierd on spool up. The disk is so lightly loaded you don't have to feed much opposite collective to stop flipping manuvers.

The VBar options are so extensive, I will have a big learning curve. Some of the features available are beyond regular mechanical flybar systems.

Had some static electricity build up from the tail belt which caused a twitch in the tail. Some lube on the belt solved this. The carbon boom I am using may be part of the problem. Perhaps some metal belt tensioner/guides may help eliminate this.

Also running straight 2S on reciever and servos with an Emcotec voltage regulator on the tail servo

Congrats John - good to hear of your successful 1st flight - I'm busy alternating flights with my new L6003D and my TREX 600s - how do you feel they compare ? My impression was that the Logo was buoyant and responsive but didn't track through manoevres quite as steadily as the Rexs - power wise I thought my Z50-800 was the equivalent of my 1910 8S but in a quiter less obvious ways - the Logo is certainly great FUN to fly !!!

The Logo is quiet, light, bouyant, amazingly powerful, yes it flys differently. I think we are very used to a mechanical flybar. I have not played with the VBar settings other than to get it flying. Currently I have Nico's cyclic setup.

My TRex is 6S with the NEU 1515H/2.5D so it is probably not as powerful as yours.

What sort of lube did you use for this? I have a tail twitch myself, but only when the HV85 is in gov mode. Strange because the governour is not hunting or surging but is locked in on high gain. Still, it hovers :D

Tri-Flow, others have used soft leaded pencils or graphite powder on the belt. I recently switched to Neoprene beltls in both Logos and the static issues have gone away.
Neoprene belts typically have steel reinforcing strands which cancel the static eletricity. The yellow polyurethane belts typically have kevlar or nylon reinforcing which does nothing to help cancel ESD.
