This is a just purchased Futaba GY611 with S9256 that was purchased on 29 October 2007 and received on 31 October 2007 for Heliproz. The power source is a 2000 MiMH, 4.8volt battery. The receiver is a Futaba PCM R138DP. The transmitter for the helicopter version 9C Super.

The Gyro is set according to the operator manual. The S9256 upon initialization will travel full clockwise and sometime full counterclockwise; but, this is intermittent at best, as the servo does not receive power most of the time.

When you move the rudder stick - nothing happens when by chance the servo is receiving power. The LED display is showing all the correct messages and function key displays are set per page 14 of the operator manual with the exception of the rudder control gain, which is done through the transmitter. When the switch is moved the gain changes for 50% to 55% on the LED, which tells me the radio is talking to the LED display.
The gyro is activated in my 9C. There is no power coming from the signal out of the LED to the servo. As stated above, power is intermittent.
On the LED display I see --- when I cycle the rudder three times left and right fast.
My buddy has a Raptor 90SE with the same setup radio and GY611 and his works great. We hooked my S9256 to his system and the servo works normally. We are at a total loss as where to look next.

After the power is applied to the gyro. Hello flashes in the screen and then once it boots up. It should show the voltage, gain sensitivity, and gyro Mode in the home screen.
This is the only screen the gyro will operate correctly . If scrolling thru the menu, the gyro will not operate.
Really never read the instructions as for the servo moving clockwise or counter clockwise when initializing. Mine just centers once it initialiizes. Has always done that and nothing else.

You have the leads from the gyro plugged into the correct ports on the receiver? One lead goes into the rudder channel ( 4). The Aux lead from the gyro goes into Channel 5.

Thanks for responding to my problem - as I continued to trace every wire involved with the GY611, I found that the 6" extension power wire connection was not seated well on the female end. I replaced the extension and problem solved. I know - simple stuff. This explains the interment operation when I would move the LED display. Again, thanks for everyone’s time and yes, I feel like an idiot.
