Have had the same issus myself recently, good ol bob helped out then and also more recently with another chaps -->
Check the gear on the auto clutch bearing as it may be slipping. The gear can get a hairline crack between 2 teeth and allow it to slip.

FINLESS DOES IT AGAIN!
Great one Bob, the gear was slipping on the one way bearing. I seperated them but couldn't see any cracks, just lots of oil. You could see the marks where it had been slipping.
Mine had the excess lube i believe as I cleaned it thorough;y and have had ~20 flights since without issue...the bearing in question is ~$10 buying a new one wont be a big strain on finances but if its causes a crash.....
Best of luck sorting it :-)

I've had the same thing happen also a while back. Got carried away with the lube on the one way and had all sorts of slipping problems. So I bought a new unit and didnt add any extra lube. This has been fine for a good 50 flights. I might try cleaning up the old one and see if that starts to work correctly again. By the way, I couldnt find any cracks in the old one either.
