Hello. I'm a new guy here and have a question about the DX7. I did a search to try and find an answer with no luck. If I have a DX7 air version, is it possible to relocate the switches for modes and throttle cut-off for heli use? Thank you.

i have the dx7 air version. but i will use it with my heli (i can only find the air version in my country). anyway i looked for changing the switches. it can be done. with two switch changing the locations. but with a slight problem (if you call it a problem) mode switch has three positions and have a long arm, the other switch (i forget the name) has two positions and short arm. so if you mode thr mode switch to sholder position, weel its no problem but it will be a problem for reaching the two positionn swith after relocation because there will be two stiches on one side and both will have short arms. i ould say without changing the switches just desolder and resolder the wires, but that can not be done. since one is 2 position the other is three position.
the only solution i came up with is to find a two position long armed swith. you can still use the three position long armed switch on sholder, it's easier with this way.
i havent find this siwth so still in air mode in switched but thats not a problem for me. i just get rid of the rachet.

After considering the air version from a friend I just decided to go with the Heli version new from a LHS. Thanks so much for the reply.
I received my new spectrum dx7 today. I got the one without the servos and the 6200...same as the 7000 one less channel. I noticed that the package didn't come with the battery pack or switch harness. So....I have no way of binding it. Well, if it's not one thing, it's another.
It looks like spektrum uses 3 wires on their switch and batteries. Is there anyway of binding without using the spektrum switch and battery or am I out of luck..Thanks
