Which is the better pipe for an OS 50 hyper? A Hatori or the Align pipe?

Ive heard that the designer of the hatori 50 pipe Jason Krouse works for align and created the new align 50 pipe (no wonder it looks like a hatori )

Looking like a Hatori and working like a Hatori is two different things. There is a lot of clones that look like the Hatori. But that is the only thing they have in common. When it comes to performance, not in the same league.

Having flown both on the same machine, the Align has the same or similar power, its a bit louder, and 50 some dollars less and there's no o-rings to fool with.

Yeah I figured the Align one would be louder. Seems all the clones I have seen in the years past are louder.
As for the Orings, if some one is crashing alot, The muffler that slips over the header using orings to hold it is a good thing. No damage to the motor if it hits on the muffler side.
For the mufflers that bolt directly to the motor, seen a number of crankcases replaced from a crash due to the muffler breaking it .

I have the align one, but it was only last 1 gallon of fuel. I had no crash, still boken-in the engine, and there was lossing part inside the muffler.

Any luck with the CY MP5 ?
I've flown both the Align and the Hatori. Both work very well. . . can't speak for the OS, but on the YS the Align pipe runs better.

I also have the align one and it was only last 2 gallon of fuel. I had no crash, doing some 3D with it, and there was lossing part inside the muffler. when I shake the pipe, I can hear the sound like you put a bolt inside the bottle. I think the align QC is just bad.

Hatori makes a 1 piece muffler too, the SAB50 or the "Bobby Watts Special".
Now I feel unclean.. :puke
This pipe makes a LOT more power than the Align, and is a lot quieter too.
