Is that official or you just throwing dates out there?
Usually the AMA Nationals run till late in the first week in August. So I would think it would be after the Nationals are over. That is what has determined the dates to use the AMA site the last few years. The AMA has not posted dates for the IAC events in 2008 yet.

The thread is closed so I can not respond.
David Millner told us he is almost 100% sure. He will know hopefully today and let us know. It should be Aug 7-10.

I do not think the planning meeting for the IAC has been held yet. That is what I was going on. I know the Nats in the past have ran till early August. Also in the past there has been World Championships held at the IAC. They are usually held in the August/September time range. Since someone was asking off for vacation time for the Jamboree. I would want them to make sure the dates are official before they got the time off. I would hope Dave or Charles would respond officially to the dates.
Yes the Jamboree has normally been held in August. But it has been either the second or third weekend in the past since moving to Muncie. Couple years ago, it was like the 18th.
Not trying to offend anyone. Just want them to get correct information since they are requesting vacation time.

No problem on the closing. I just know I didn't close it <G>. As for the IRCHA dates, I hope you got the correct dates. Just my opinion I would want to hear the dates from one of the IRCHA officers to make sure. AMA in the past has had the planning meeting for the IAC like in Jan or Feb.

O.K. guys, we just spoke to Dave Millner again. He said the confirmed dates are Aug. 14-17.
Dave said he will get a post up soon to be official.
I guess the almost sure dates were not sure. He said these dates are rock solid. These dates now mess us up BIG TIME. Anyway, I hope everyone else can work with them.

DavidI think he meant the dates mess him up. Like he had plans for the 7th - 10th. Sort of like it messed me up.
That's how I read it anyway.

Yes, it messes us up. We had planned on the first dates. We are suppose to be in Iowa on the 16th. The new correct dates create a problem for us. We are trying now to rearrange our schedule. I hope we can do it.
