Can a digital scales be used to check blade balance?

Hi,
I was wondering if i could use a digital scales such as here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=294&item=5760073066&rd=1

to make sure that my blades are of equal weight. It says that these scales are accurate to within 0.1gram

Just thought that if it can be used it would be good for balancing paddles and such also?

yea you can ck the wieght of paddles and would need a blade balancer and the gram scale for a set of unmatched blades. I have a set of 190g and a 186g I'm balancing to make a spare set can't see throughing away a two perectly good blades when I can make a set out of them..
