Hi guys

when i first put my heli together i got the tail rotor direction wrong (turned the belt clockwize) but after a boom strike i managed to put it together correctly and the tail rotor now spins in the correct direction according to the manual, the only thing is i fly in a very lush grassey paddock and as the tailblade chop through the grass they now spray all the clippings all over/towards the heli even the main rotor is grassey now
Soooooo is it ok to go back to the way i originally had it where the tail flicks things away from instead of towards the heli??

she was so much cleaner before

The reason for the way they turn is that the tail rotor rotates upwards into the downwash from the main rotor. This gives it more bite, as it effectively is moving faster. Having it spin the other way reduces your TR's ability to hold significantly. Running it backwards really isn't a good idea.

You could just mow a landing pad... :D
