I had bought this fixed pitch helicopter awhile back because everyone said it is good for beginners. well news flash to me, this thing wont even fly right. nomatter what i do it just spins in circles. so i got irritated with it and put it in the closet. a few months go by and i bought a HDX 450 SE and i love it.. had a rpob with motor sucking up alot of battery power so i bought the new align motor and 2 new thunder power v2 batteries. which i really like.. I am at hovering and some forward, backwards and side to side moves for now. i do good on the flight sim but i just have the block when it comes to doing it with my helicopter.so i decided to get the hummingbird back out and use that if i can get it to work right. I have it hovering but its a handful and i have trim all the way to the right and still have to put right input to it.if someone could help me get this thing going I would really be thankful because i could save more money learning the forward flights and things on the hummingbird. Please help i am already bald so i have no hair to pull out..........

Hard to say what the "issue" is, as you bought it USED. So who knows what has been done to it and/or how much flight time it has....or how badly it has been set up.

Mine flew great right out of the box with just a tad of rudder trim. I lost count long ago as too how many flights I have on it now. All I have ever rplaced (other then crashed parts) are the main and tail motors a couple of times.

But they use brushed motors that wear out a lot faster then the much more expensive brushless motors.

If you can not get the tail rotor to hold with full trim I would suspect the tail motor needs replacing.

i bought it new and could never get it to fly right so i stuck it in closet bought the trex and stayed with that till i cleaned out closet. maybe i dont have the mix or gain set right. cant find manual to look at what they say to set it at so i am clueless.just put new tail motor on it and still does same thing. how is the mixture and gain set on yours, 1 oclock 2 oclock or so..
