it has been alittle over a month and ive been pretty busy flying my trex nearly on a daily basis. i purchased from readyheli at a generous price the new kong powers since their technology seemed very appealing to try. ive had great success with these packs even through my testing and wanted to share some none biased information with you guys.

battery :kong powre 3s 2200mah pack.
charger: cell pro 4, thunder power 1010c, 205v balancer
helicopter: trex 450 se new v2, stock power system (430XL and align 35x)

- average flight duration: 5minutes total air time
- total flights on each of the three batteries thus far: 192 flights recorded per battery
- general charging patterns: between flights 20 and 45, i charged 25 times at a amp rating of 6.6amps via my my tp 1010c and 205v balancer. first 5 charges were done at 1C, and the remaining till now ive been charging at a steady 2C via cellpro.

battery #1, test battery for duration (fly until you cant fly anymore) this battery on numerous occasions close to 100 flights, ive flown till the helicopter will not stay in the air anymore. approximately flight times ranged from 6.5 to 9 minutes ranging from 3d to heavy collective sport flying. battery retention patterns: after 45 flights or after a period of charging at 3c, i noticed my batteries stressing alittle, signs being slight decreases of power. as a percentage, new i will call 100% integrity. after 45 flights, 25 of which were charged at 3c and all of them from the beginning flying until the pack voltage wasnt enough to keep the helicopter in the air, i noticed a decrease to about 90% integrity of the pack.

battery #2, my test battery for charging. i charged this pack at 3C majority of its charging of 192 flights. this battery has also been crashed a few times and has a dent on the corner. this is my weakest battery by far, about 75% pack integrity left.

battery #3 my standard battery, ive charged this battery from the beginning at 2C and kept it at a steady 4 minutes 45 seconds total air time. this is currently my strongest battery pack about 85% retention left and steady at 192. pack voltage drop felt at about 110 flights.

---------------------------------------------------------------

i have let many others try my batteries as well. those people have flown battery #2, honest reports ive heard, the battery is noticably heavier in their helicopters meaning they do feel additional weight in the front. others have said the battery has no signficance in the helicopter. the distribution between the two id say is not quiet 2/1 in favor of the pack feeling heavier.

i myself do not feel the weight different in my heli and my heli is balanced perfectly although i am not running many items in my rex and weight was my main focus.

general things about this battery.
1) fact: the battery will not puff if charged within specifications
2) fact: the battery is capable of charging in 20-25minutes safely
3) fact: the battery strength is similar to TP and flight powers.
4) fact: the batteries slightly heavier than others, about an average of 5-8g
5) fact: the batteries will last you under abuse at least 192 flights (# to vary as i fly more)
6) fact: if you charge the battery at 3c and discharge them till the voltage is extremely low, the integrity level drops

the best way IMO to use these batteries are as follow:
1) charge no higher than 2c
2) obey the 80% rule. these packs are known to give slightly longer flight times though*

my other general thoughts. this battery is a great universal battery. its inexpensive and its a durable battery pack so for beginners who accidently fly longer than intended or they mischarge the battery pack, they dont have to worry about destroying the battery. for those who enjoy duration, this 2200mah pack is has given me slightly longer duration given the same amount of flying and i put back the same amount compared with my standard, a flight power vpower 3cell 2170mah pack. this battery also has the ability provide long and sustained discharges, so for 3d pilots who have very agressive maneuvers, this battery has the strength to give you the power and sustain it as other comparable batteries of the class. most importantly, through abuse, this battery has proven to last at least 192 flights.

more info to come, my goal now is to make this battery no longer suitable for flying, ie> fly it until it dies :)

Jason....
If I read you right in a little over a month (lets say 40 days) you logged 400 flights across 3 batteries? Thats 10 flights a day every day and if you include charge time (about 4 hours a day 25 min x 10flights = 250min / 60 = 4 hrs best case) man thats a lot of time. What don't you work or anything?
Thats gotta be a record or something.

I wouldn't be able to log that many flights in 4 months myself!

No Finless you read wrong thats almost 600 flights in 40 days.
Wow that sounds like BS I have heard from other pilots in the past. Get a heli on thrusday and have 180 flights on it by the following thrusday. And it being electric at that. Man i wish I had that amount of time.
By then I could fly with my eyes closed. Hell I would have to be able to fly in my sleep as well as I drive while sleeping.
I am not knocking the battery as I had one and it takes a beating and keeps on making power, But let keep it real here.
Hell what do you have in your tranmitters must be a INFINA-ION. nothing else could keep up with that amount of flying.

Rodney, I think you need to read the post a litte more. The first part talks about it but the totals are really in the pack #1, #2, and #3 summary. I get 400 not 600. I would have agreed 600 would be close to impossible. 400 is doable based on Jason's response to this same post in the 450 forum and at this point I trust his word.
Yea and as arclite5 says that was a little harsh.......

HMMMM 192 per battery. Well I know St.Cloud Florida is not known for its schools but that adds up to almost 600 in St. Cloud Florida. That is very unlikly to be done. But mybe it is just a typo.

And then, you have to consider he also told he crashed several times... Having 10 flight to make each day put you a bit behing when you have to repair the heli first! Not telling waiting for parts...

Anyway. Finless is also doing a review on these packs in comparison with FP Evo 25's and TP eXtreme v2's. If his results are the same as Jason's, then I think you guys might owe an apology for judging so harshly yeh?

arc...maybe you should read Rodneys post again....he never down talked the batteries..in fact,he said that he has flown them and was impressed....he called BS on putting 600 flights on the packs in"a little over a month"...nothing more and nothing less.

One thing is for sure, it wont fit Mini Titan e325 canopy and it rocks the CG to the front . 195gm, about 20 gm more that the FP 2170
