Hello,
In my X-Cell gasser there is a CSM gyro with 9253 tail servo.
Even without the engine running, is the servo drifting.
After giving a little rudder (stick in rest) the servo moves slowly to mid position.
Is there something wrong here??
I'am thinking to change for an 401 with 9254. I'am fed up with the tail drifting, it does it also in forward flight.
Is there a solution for this gyro?
Thankx, Eric.

Gyro is a CSM 540 with heading lock.

Nothing wrong with your gyro. Check your instructions. The CSM gyros have some funny habits on the ground. My advice....run through your quick set-up to be sure everything is working as advertised, then hover the aircraft. Be sure you mechanical set-up is per the instructions.

I went the same route you did I finally got it locked into place
hover in rate mode set mechanical tail rod that you have little or no drift
set it in HH mode and it's locked also look in manual for help on page 17 Quick-trim that helps also
also there is a rev update that will help but have to send it to CSM
