That thing is one bad heli. Don't forget I live in Portland, OR. In the winter almost every day is a cold shower. ;)

It's like aged wine, it won't be done until Charley says it's time.

Be patient, your gonna want one of these, Charley, Steve L and my son Steven have been putting the prototype thru it's paces, when Charley gets it tweaked to his liking....... just stay tuned

Just came accross this today; I swore off mini-helis after my experience with the Align 450, but this is looking nice! Budget re-analysis time!

I've been looking around for 350mm blades and I can only find the rototechs in 350mm and some Mah's in 385mm - Can anyone post a few blade mfgs or retailers that make 350mm CF or FG blades? Thanks!

- Jon

I will be testing some GF blades that is possible to be packaged with the kit. Still up in the air.
As for Batteries the 6s1p 1300 25c is a pack we had developed plus other larger sizes from a New Battery MFG. all tests have proven to be VERY good!
These plus many more sizes and Cell count will be released under the Mega Power brand as XP25 (Extreme power Series)
We are discussing with Flight Power about them possibly producing packs to fit G5 nothing is set in stone yet but we are working on it. Maybe others Battery makers will follow.

how well can we expect the kit to perform with a 3S 2100mah type pack compared to the 6S stuff you guys are running ? Which medusa is that ? And what esc you running ?

Performance on 3s should be near that of the 450 size on 3s
The Medusa is a 028-040-1700, ESC is a hobby wing 40amp I just decided to go with 6s as it is far more efficient I could Do Hard 3D for more than 5:30min with not feeling lose of power at the end of a flight it felt the same from start to finish

I think ive decided to go wtih 4S so i can continue to use my 028-32-3400. What is the main gear tooth count and will the kit include and pinions ?

Rotorworkz

4s will work just fine!

Many gear ratio's are available as the Main gear has 150t / 0.5 Mod. as for pinions included not sure which ones yet

Charley is the kind of guy who does not want perceptible voltage drop during his flights. I know this from flying with him. I agree that when you fly the right setup it feels so good. Charley is a designer who flys well and knows what he wants for 3D and also what the average pilots want and need as well. Lucky for all of us, I am looking forward to the Outrage. :)

Rock on Charley!!
