The frame allows the perfectly identical length servo linkages.
I think this is a fairly significant contribution to overall prformance too,

True, My post was not clear. They are setup for 6S and longer blades. Would like to try a G5 head on trex but not ready to spend the money for it. I have already spent to much as it is.From what I have seen my 450`s are flying close to the same as G5 which is good enough for this poor boy.

Buy the flybarless for the G5 and use the "old" head on the Trex, :-)

I bought the flybarless head today and installed it on my 450. I have not flown it yet but thought I would post a pic. I know the wrong place to post a pic of 450 but I would like to thank outrage for what they have done.

ifheli...not at all the wrong place...it still has the Outrage head! thanks for posting the picture! please keep us posted how the head performs on the Trex 450!
Thanks again for choosing the Outrage Flybarless head!
Trexflyer02 also put on a G5 head on his 450 after i convinced him nothing would go wrong, and he loves his. He is trying a few different blades out on it but so far the radix are on top. I've got a spare G5 head that i will be putting on my well worn 450se V2 later this year.

I finally got to fly it tody and it did not go so well. I came home and almost ripped the system out of the heli. I did the setup per instruction and the only thing I was unsure about bit me while trying to hover. The elevator gyro seem to set up right but must have been out of wack. The heli lifted off and stood on it`s nose and any input made it go from standing on nose to straight up on the tail. It never dropped left or right. That axis was great. Amazingly i only did very little damage to heli. I took out the landing gear and bent the boom.
I got home cool the head and thought about it.I replaced the boom and landing gear. I moved the Rx and mounted Sk-360 on plastic baseplate just behind mainshaft. Re did the setup for gyro by just clicking the 90 degree rotate and it worked perfectly. I had it originally mounted on outside of left frame, which instruction stated was ok. I just never could get the Gyro to work like I thought it should have for elevator. but it did seem to work right when doing the tests.
I took it back out this afternoon and it flew great. I`m running +/-14 and 8.Still need to do some tweaking but it flew. Now my only problem is the led has never worked on the unit.
The G5 head is nice and no tracking problems. I did switch out the dampers to some that were stiffer.I notice two things with the assembly. The swash pivot ball is very tight and the ball link almost screwed all the way on rod, both are not a problem. I notice this on a G5 and my 450. All, I can say is " looks like I`m making a trip to RC Hover to pick up another unit for the other 450". On this one I may try modifying trex head for flybarless
thanks again Outrage for your efforts, keith

Do you mean you had the SK360 mounted on the side of the heli?

Skookum,
I missed understood direction because I was very tired and attach to outside of left frame. I now understand that was very wrong. The system is working great but LED not working on unit.
Mathias,
I used the dampers from helidirect part # FS-YLW-V2
They are the yellow ones and cost $4.50.
I just bought a second unit and outrage head tonight from RCHover.

OK, so they're made by Align?
There's not different G5 dampers made by Outrage, is it? If so, what's the differences?
Also, has anybody tried the new Trueblood green T450 dampers?

They are not made by align. I`m not sure who makes them but helidirect sells them. I liked them on my align head before going flybarless. They are stiff. The second set i installed in g5 head were just a little loose in head. The stock green ones are way to soft for me.

HubbaBubba works good :)
Chew it till all taste is gone. Let it sit for a week... then shove it in :)

Stock greens? Is this something for the flybarless?
My kit (flybar) came with black dampers.

The flybarless head kit came with green dampers. The greens one would be about like chewing gum

I'm pretty sure HD knows about the green dampeners and are sending Black to the guys that have problems.

I was going to try the greens but decided to keep both machines the same. I`m running rotortechs on one and radixs on the other to see how they compare on the flybarless head. I do think the softer dampers were included on purpose for the flybarless head kit. I`m just used to a really stiff dampers.
