I have a C-spec 90 with a OMI mod carb (60K, 3 needles) and cline regulator. Unfortunately, I'm having problems with it leaning out during the flight. Or at least I think it's leaning out in flight. The problem seems intermittent. Somedays it runs good, others it starts stumbling during flight and acts like it running hot. If I continue to fly I can hear the rpm start to increase like a lean condition. Can you guys offer some suggestions to me for debugging this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Replace the clunk line
Check that the tank and fuel lines are holding pressure
(if you land, open the fuel system, you should hear a whoosh of air)
Check the function of the one way value

Otherwise it could be the cline membrane - least likely so check the others 1st

I finally found it!!
The cline regulator was hitting the carb bolt and not allowing the aluminum collar on the cline to mate with the housing of the carb. Hence, it was sucking air at this connection. Once I reworked the carb bolt to the other side and put it all back together it ran flawless.
Thanks,
Chris
