I have a synthesized 9z that has been doing some weird things lately. I went to fly my (brand new) pro2k and the thing will not hold a trim with the 9Z. on the bench the tail servo twitches a little with/without the pushrod connected. (401-9253) The rest of the servos are quiet. I flew the same heli with my hitec eclipse 7 (with spectra and with standard module) and the machine is so stable it's AMAZING! The heli is on FM , I swore off PCM when my vigor went in. (same 9z) heres the response i got from radio south :

Patrick:
The FSS RF modules should be sent in EVERY YEAR for calibration and replacement of the output transistor. This particular unit is very hard on the output transistors and they will not last much beyond 2 years without showing reduced output, which means reduced range...
I suspect this is your problem.
Just ship the RF module to us (you don't have to send the tx) and we will check it and get it going again!

Interesting HUH? Also in my search for the elusive glitch, i removed the bezel covering the antenna and much to my surprise i was greeted by ALOT of black greasy gunk where the antenna interfaces the contactors. cleaned this up real good and still having the same drift/glitch problem. I have to wonder if this transmitter is why my vigor went in. (Anyone with a 9Z should check this) Guess im sending out the module in the morning, at least i have the program in a second radio :)
anyone else have a similar situation? suggestions?
