I have the hyperion HP3025-10 works well on 4S.
If I was to do it again I would buy something that could handle up to 8S (very low kV, around the 600), I would have to fiddle with the motor mount a bit to get a smaller pinion to mesh but that is no biggy.

You can buy a Kora 15-14. It will be good for sport flying with 4S (2600 rpm) and the perfect motor for 5S and 3D. You can also use the 15-12. He can handle 5S with a 18t pinion and 2800rpm or more. Very good power on 4S. Also Hacker A30-10xl for 4S and 12XL for 5S.

How about Kora 15 -10 on 4s, I am looking for a great 4s motor!
I'm thinking Kora 15-12 on at 24T pinions, 4S 2700 mahr for the moment. I also understand at 15-12 with a 19t pinion will rock at 5s... I do mild 3D now on the 450's and looking to get a lepton setup with the above.
or thats what i plan for the moment. I'm waiting for the complete kit to come together still
The 15-20 on 4S needs a 21T/22T pinion
I suspect that the Kora motors don't quite have the power for a hot setup
(I've tried the 15-14 and 15-12 and some Hacker - all on 4S)
I'm about to try an Axi this weekend
I read a thread where some fliers have burnt out the Hyperion 3025-10 on 4S setups. I'm just wondering how that happened? Has anyone found out more about why the 3025-10's seem to burn out? Is it ESC related or is the motor just poor quality?
Its a cheaper motor than the Koras for sure and its an alternative i'm looking at. But i'll spend the extra 40 usd on a reliable motor rather than risk having it flame out in the air....
Our local incidents were defective units and were replaced under warranty
It's fairly rare
I would go for the 3025-08 for better performance
Jafa... u ran the 3025-10 setup right? how did you find it for power and flight times?
But the 3025 will need the 26T pinion at 85% efficiency to attain 2800 HS. I'd need a 28T to get it to 3000. I'm just wondering if it will bog.
I'll probably get the 3025-10 (with the fan) on a 4S KP 3200 or FP 3700. There's another one thats bell shaped but i think the one with the fan should be better. Wonder if the KP 4S 25C 4000 mahr will fit?
Regards & Thanks!
The 3025-10 will not pull well on a 26T pinion
It ran hot on the 24T pinion and was comfortable on the 23T pinion
I tried the Axi this weekend - it makes a hell of a noise
(it's actually a 3S rated motor - not sure how long it would last on 4S)
It did have more verticle punch but it was not a big improvement
over my Kora 15-12 on 21T
I'm about to charge my packs and find out how hard the Axi was on them
I've tried three motors now - I am resigned to the fact that you can't get a hot 4S setup
But it does still go well on 4S
I will wait until my packs are worn out and then think about 6S
dang... that means 5s setup. I run a 4S medusa 28-40-3400 on my V2 and its a rocket ship. 3k headspeed.
I want my Lepton to be something similar to that. But i need a new charger for 5S. My celpros 4S capabale only.
