Charge Rate

I was wondering how you determine at what rate you charge lipo's. How about a 4s3p 4000mil pack. I need to learn this stuff, but I hate to read.

Charge rate of LiIons and LiPo's is 1C. I usually never charge over 2 amps on the big packs and 1 amp on the smaller 3S1300 to 3S2100 packs.

Never had a problem hurting the batteries .. except in crashes! :shock:

1C is indeed the recommended rate. Kokam now has 2C charge rate cells, but capacity will diminish a lot faster if charged at 2C.
I charge my 3S1P 6000mAh pack at 6A without any problem at all.
