So for a lipo dummy, exactly what pack(s) are needed or can be used on this heli?
I'm still downloading the vid, but from what I gather I can't use my 3S 2100 packs on it?
It would be REAL nice to know a ballpark price, if anyone knows one....
The 450 SEv2 is over 500 bucks at Heliproz, I'm curious what this one is going to be priced at.

Two 3S 2100 packs will give 6S 2100 and will work perfectly well on this heli. This is the configuration it was designed for.

Can someone provide a link to an adapter (or a drawing to make one) that will let us balance this DIY 6S pack? The serial Y adapter is easy but I'm confused on how to take the 4 wires from each of two 3S balance leads into the 7 wires of a 6S balance lead. I found this part http://www.readyheli.com/Flight_Power_2_3_6S_Highrate_V_balancer_Harness_p/fpvhr2-3-6s-vbalh.htm . Seems like it could be the right one for the FP 2500s I'm using on my Trex 450. Is it?

I think it might just be easier to use two 3s balancers on the same charger?

Here's a diagram a came up with (you should plug the top pack in first into the bal.)

Here's one way (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4217667&postcount=499)using a TP210 balancer.

Thanks fireup. I'm using a Hyperion LBA10. I'm thinking it'll hook up like the Blinky in your drawing. Thanks again for taking the time.

You will need a charger that does 6S and you will need a balancer adapter to convert from 2x3s to a 6S configuration.
Bob
Hey Bob,
Forgive this stupid question, probably lacking the electric 101 training here, but why do you need to charge your 2x3s packs as a six cell? Or in other words why would it be bad to balance charge them individually?
Thanks,
Erick

When you balance one pack,it balances the 3 cells with each other..
When you join 2 individual balanced packs together these packs are not balanced as one.(6cells) with each other.
Even though it will work, why degrade the optimum performance of your expensive cells.
So you will need a 6 cell charger to achieve this, thats the situation I find myself in too.
