When doing a pirouette, I have plenty of right rudder and fast. Left rudder nothing. If i do get any left rudder it's very little and hardly noticable. It hovers very well with very little nose drift to the right. Can't figure this one out. Thinking about switching motor leads left to right , right to left to see if it does the same thing in the opposite direction. I was thinking maybe a weak motor, but this thing is only two weeks old with maybe 8 flights in the garage. I must say I did smack it into the floor and had to replace the outer shaft, but after repairs it hovers and flys pretty well, just no left rudder. Any ideas? Thanks much!

Can you turn left at all?

I would suggest adjusting your proportional gain.

My left rudder is always slower than the right rudder. That's just teh way the CX2 is designed. But having nome at all? That's not right. I concur, check your prop gain, gyro gain and your rudder trim.

First center all rudder trims and subtrims if your TX has them, then connect a half used battery in. Adjust proportional until it doesn't yaw. Land and connect a fresh charged pack, adjust trim on rudder until it holds. The reason for using the half used pack is to get the trims centered so that either end of the pack ( fresh charged vs. almost discharged) you can use the trim to keep the yaw in check. If your using a good LiPo pack Thunder Power FlightPower..etc then I would adjust the Proportional initially on a nearly fresh charged pack as they tend to hold their voltage much better.

I don't want to thread jack here but do I need to do the same type of adjustment on my CX2? The only issue I am having is when I try to do forward flight (right stick up), the heli goes forward but pitches left and loses altitude. Is that an issue with the proportional? I have it trimmed for hands-free hover but it's just the forward flight that is screwing me up. I checked the linkages and the swash plate and everything "seems" to be working correctly.
Thanks for the help.
Matt

Mpetrich,

I am still just a noob myself, but it sounds to me that its your thumbs. Are you doing a left turn when you loose altitude? Same with me and right I climb its just something you have to practice and train your thumbs. Just a thought.

Good point. Thanks. I will check my "thumbs" tonight.
