I've done a little bit of searching and found a few manufacturers of 800-810mm blades. Primarily of note are the V-Blades, SABs, and NHPs.

The V-Blades cost $250 are supposed to be fairly rigid and fly well.
The SABs are around $170, but aside from their smaller blades flying ok, I don't have a lot of info about them.
The NHPs are around $130 and I have heard they are more flexible than the other blades and may require more pitch to hover, etc.

I'm using them on a heli that will be used mostly for AP. I don't PLAN on aerobatics with it, but you know how it goes :D What is everyone out there flying and what are your thoughts?

NHP Razors.. they seem rather flexible if you REALLY get on it, but I will NEVER do 3d with mine. I would guess that the $250 V's would be a compromise between 3d and AP, but really, why buy an EB and try and hardcore 3d it? I just don't see it being a viable platform for intense 3d. Never seen the SAB's, so can't comment on them. If you are going to MILDLY do 3d.. loops, rolls, maybe some other light stuff, go with the NHP's.. just a lot cheaper to make a mistake with..

Yeah that's what I decided to go with so my new Spectr...*cough* I mean Intrepid EB should be here on Tuesday. :D I don't fly intense 3D which is why I used the term aerobatics. Just flips and rolls and the like.

that's odd, do you have a cold? What about the spectra?

Sorry I have the '2 weeks' flu, have had it almost 2 months. I cancelled my order on it and went with the Bergen. Maybe I'll buy a Spectra as my next heli if the whole gasser thing works for me. It looks like a v-nice heli and by then the supply side issues should be hammered out with them. Multi-month backorders aren't my thing and the weather is just getting good for flying again.

i also just got over that 2 week flu myself, horrible the only thing to kick it was a bergen heli. :)

Yeah we're both pretty excited to get these things and start building!

Can anyone comment on the Canfield Balancer, and where you are most likely to see improvements with it? Is it more beneficial to people who can't/don't dial indicate, balance, etc? Will it make a noticeable difference on a well setup heli?(engine vibes, etc)

========
I called Bergen this morning, very helpful folks and he had provided a description of the Canfield Balancer for me. It sounds it will be a good addition to balancing and trueing the fan on the crankshaft. So I ordered this piece and we will use it with the dial indicator I just ordered to hopefully minimize vibrations :D

a canfield balancer.. seems to work well.. less vibes than I had before. Somehow I got the fan balanced down REALLY well too without having to adjust it, so I'm sure that helps too.. Oh, and fyi.. I was freaked by a sound I'd never heard before which sounded like a compression leak when starting the engine.. well.. it ended up being the ball bearings in the Canfield still spinning around.. REALLY sounded weird.. like a bad compression leak-down.. but otherwise, it's all good!
