Ok, Got some pictures of the Trex 500... Enjoy!
This is 1 of 3 in existent at this time (11-09-07). Still a prototype but was said that about 95% will remain the same, just minor changes.

Possible pack configuration with this setup/gearing are:

6S1P 2500 evolite (375 grams) <--- This is the setup I'm going with
6S1P 2500 evo25 (395 grams)
Servos are any Mini size servos such as...
Futaba S9650
JR 3400G
Hitec 5245MG
Kit will include a ESC /w built-in switching BEC (2 in 1) to run the servos off the 6S pack

I have to say that I LOVE the polished metal and black color combo on the 500's head, button and grips. Who knows if they will keep it, but honestly, it kind of makes the original 450 SE blue colored head look toy-ish.

From what we've been told, they are keeping the black anodized look.

Is that a plastic seesaw? Almost looks like it...
I'm digging the black anodizing. Looks like I can use my 450 packs, maybe at a little weight penalty.
I know what to ask for christmas now, I guess I need to scratch that Hurricane 550 off the list. This thing is too sweet to pass up!

I'm still getting a 600 right after Thanksgiving, but I can see the 500 under the Christmas Tree, with all those pretty lights reflecting off the canopy.
I figure all I will need is the FlightPower 14.8V 2500mAh EVO Lite 4S batteries at 99.00 each for the 500, for sport flying. Does that sound right for this size heli? What kind of flight times would I expect using them?
Thanks fireup and Finless!

I was told that the 450 SE V2 was discounted recently and will be under 500. Andy said the Trex500 would be "about" $500 with ESC and motor.
Obviously that is subject to change and was an estimation.

Yep, I was told around $500, but forgot to ask if it comes with blades and batt. or not. Hopefully, at lease with blades.

******777,
I just got into the heli hobby about 1 1/2 months ago. I hear alot about Arbor Park, where is it located? I'd like to check it out one of these days :)
In the last month I've already picked up a 450 v2, 600CF and 600 Nitro :)
Thanks,
Jody J.

If I knew the money went to a good cause, I'd place a bid of $650.

I don't fly at that park. Only been there two times, as its an hour away from where I live. Finless or Fireup can give you some really good directions.
