Sorry for the stupid question, but.....
Is rudder sub-trim even suppose to affect anything if you have a HH Gyro?

Yes it will be a constant yaw command, you can use it to get rid of drifting.

isnt yaw drifting left or right, (sideways)? I mean with the G90 should I still have to be messing with the rudder sub trim?

Yaw is the heli spinning, basically the tail causes the heli to YAW or turn. When people say their heli is yawing to the right, they mean the nose is spinning clockwise. Roll is basically aileron input, IE it rolls to the left or right or leans in that direction, Pitch is nose up or nose down, an elevator function.
Subtrim on your rudder channel will help get rid of uncommanded Yawing. The cheaper gyros ( G90, Telebee, align) tend to need subtrim to get rid unintended yawing, but even after you get it set perfect, a few minutes later you need more subtrim due to the battery voltage getting lower and the cheaper gyros don't compensate for this.
The Futaba Gyros don't use subtrim, thats why most people say to not use any, but some JR gyros will also need subtrim and they are high end gyros.
Subtrim is trim that is active in any mode all the time, where as trim is dependent on flight mode.

Once again, thanks for the education....any ideas on a specific 'better' gyro that fits the cp pro well?
