Hi

I'm currently flying a mini titan with the folowing spec. :
mini titan kit / al. rotor head / al. tail rotor belt pulley
4s setup with Jazz/mega 16/15/3 (it rockkks :p) about 3200 rpm
align main blades/stock tail blades
CSM 720 / 9257 / 1rd round on tail servo horn (closest to the servo)

this setup works great, but sometimes , I dont know why, the tail is suddently going out, by 30 to 40°.

I dont have this problem on trex 600 with csm 720, and I didnt have any problem with my GY 401.

this phenomenum happens about once a flight. It's a shame because the tail is very consistent in piro with that gyro !

maybe you can help,

cheers

Yeah i'm in the same situation as you. the piro consistent is great, the gyro is great also in tictocs or aileron tictocs but during some rear flights the tail is going out a little but if i correct it the heli turn of 180° suddenly.

I have fly with this 720 and 9650 on my old Trex450SE with great success but now i don't know why of this strange fact.

hi

I'm not the only one !

I'll try to increase the gain on the computer... just to see !

in what hole dit you put your tail linkage ?

Problem solved!! I have tried with 9650 on 6V and now the tail is rock solid!! And this with my old trex450 settimgs.

Now i think that s9257 is a little faster but s9650 is stronger and this may be important on minititan tail.

Just to help your tail servo, replace the two tail screws (tail blade screws I mean) with longer ones and add nuts to gain weight. (Described somewhere else). Idea is to have no effort (or very little) to move the tail from a servo point of view.
I tried and I was really surprised of the difference.

Happy flying

Yes i have read somethin about the mod for Trex450. But MT has a different tail geometry.
Can you post some pics please?
I will give a try.
Thanks

Hi

I dont want to swtich to 6V. I've got a 9650, and the 9257 beats it on 4.8V. i'm gonna try to mount the linkage in another hole, not the one closest to the servo screw.
I'll also try du reduce Heading hold gain, as told by Collin from csm on an otherr forum :)

PS :urgano, can you give me your CSM setups ? by taking a pic from your computer for example !

thx
