I have been working the bugs out the last week. I have ended up with a variation of Dani's setup. This heli is insanely light and fast. Many others today said it easily flys over 100 mph, with insane vertical penetration. I let several top pilots fly, and you could see the smile on there face, kind of like flying an unrealistic simulator.

6 minutes fast 3D with an FP 4350
8 minutes hard 3D with an FP 5350

What kind of Headspeeds with 14 tooth are you seeing? Do you have any eagle tree or DPRs to show the amp draw and pack volts, temperatures of motor and lipos etc....? Really interested in the details of the 1912 on 14tooth. I have not had alot of time on my vbar setup as of yet, but so far "VERY" fun indeed!:smokin:

5350mah pack,,, how is the CG with that pack???

BTW ...

"6 minutes fast 3D with an FP 4350

WOW!! That is a ton of time!

With my Actro 32-3 I land at 4:30 with 600mm Vblades and that is it, game over.

Wish I could have made it out John. We will get together soon and compare notes.

Yup, these v-bars are rediculously effecient !
Check this graph out, note the mah consumed.
This is with the neu 1915-1y on a 14 tooth pinion, 4350mah 25c packs, 2200rpm and 12.5 degrees pitch on maniac 620mm blades.
Performance was excellent, at least as good as my logo 14 at 3300watts. This setup would have easily pulled 100+ amps on my flybar logo 14 !

I don't have the eagletree so the basic numbers are:
Headspeed: 2300
Gov: 70%
+- 12 degrees
SAB 620s
Batteries warm
Motor sounds happy entire flight
The 5350 is a 17C EVO Lite, 1,100 grams ( I let a former XFC top competitor fly 6 minutes of his stuff, put back 70%, His comment " Jeez John, I don't know how you can use so much power) no balance issues or no power diffference from the 25C 4350.

The peanut gallery said: We have never seen such speed and vertical performance!

Hmmm either your guys setups are far more efficient than mine or your not slamming it enough, lol. There is no way in hell I can fly past 4:30 and I am putting back in the full 80% rule as well, and to add to this, I am only running 600mm Vblades, not 620s! WTF batman?. Hmmmm :thinking

Your using 3700's though Shawn, and you fly way harder than my 3d skills will allow me too anytime soon. The grass cowers in fear when you fly !

I'm thinking the bigger packs' ability to hold voltage better under load is contributing to the lower amp draw as well.
