I am doing the head setup for on a 500 3D. The mixer arm has 4 holes for the ball from the fly bar. The manual shows the ball in the inner lower hole. However, using this hole seems to mean the mixer arms will not be level at zero pitch - unless I have something wrong... If I use the inner upper holes, the mixer arms are level fairly level at 0 (certainly much closer to level than when using the lower holes) Any thoughts? What have others done on the 500?
thanks

Use the hole they show, the arms are not supposed to be level at zero, this is the way the Mikado head is built, it flies awesome and nothing to worry about at all. Build it exactly as the manual shows you to. Remember to take a quick look at this thread to make sure your manual is the newest and this is displayed correctly as well in regards to the top mixers.

thanks.... interesting that they don't design it to be flat... I assume this
means there is some amount of asymmetry between positive and negative
pitch. Anyway, took it for a maiden flight yesterday and it does fly nicely - so
quiet compared to the trex 600.

It is designed that way to have a large amount of pitch and cyclic range with no binding. The head is totally unique which gives it the flight carachter it has. Enjoy your Logo.
