Ok, so I have the hurry stock setup with the 890 kv motor. I have heard that a 5s lipo will get 15-20 min flights. Is this true and what batteries do you recommend. Is this possible with the stock motor and esc 50A?

Thanks

I would say FP EVOLite 4250s.

I am doing battery break in with 3200s and am doing about 5 minutes for 50%. Witht he 4250s that would yeild about a 10 minute hover using about 80% of the capacity.

do you mean this one:

FlightPower LiPo 11.1V 4250mAh * EVOLITE * 3S Battery Pack (http://www.readyheli.com/FlightPower_LiPo_11_1V_4250mAh_EVOLITE_3S_Batt_p/fpwp0131.htm)

Its only 3s I thought it should be 5s??

You buy 2 at a time and run them in series as 6S. You can charge them as 2 3S packs or as one 6S pack.

Also higher voltage means lower amp draw for the same setup. And duration is based on amp draw.

That is a little much, 80% is just under 3000 mAH.

I fly Flight power LITE 5S 5350mAh, and it gives me 13 minutes of flight at 80% capacity, 500mm blades spining at 1700rpm.

hi phoinix,

That sounds like what I was looking for. I have the bone stock kit, do I need to change anything before going with this lipo or just buy, charge and fly?

I had no problems buying these LITE 5S lipos in Slovenia. You have problems finding some?

I changed the position of the battery so it is keept in a aluminum bracket, for safety only. I guess you could strap it on to existing battery bracket with no problems.

I am using 6s2p from 2 units of 3s1p 2170, works great..

6S2P from 3S1P requires 4 packs, not 2.
